• Argentina’s weather service placed Buenos Aires —including CABA— along with parts of Entre Ríos, La Pampa, Córdoba and southern Santa Fe under orange alerts for strong to severe storms with heavy rain, frequent lightning, hail and gusts up to 90 km/h.
• Forecast rain totals range from 20–60 mm in yellow‑alert areas to 40–80 mm in orange zones, with isolated locations expected to exceed 80 mm.
• The most critical window is Saturday, with forecasters projecting a marked improvement and more stable conditions beginning Monday.
• Rapid cloudbursts and hail were reported across the AMBA, including neighborhoods such as Villa Urquiza and Núñez and western suburbs like Luján, Mercedes and Moreno.
• Authorities also warned of Zonda winds in La Rioja, San Juan and Catamarca, strong winds in other western provinces, and rain or snow in Andean and Patagonian sectors, while municipalities issued safety guidance to limit travel and secure loose objects.
