Overview
- The Servicio Meteorológico Nacional issued yellow warnings for 3 September covering isolated to locally intense storms, moderate to strong snowfall, strong winds and Zonda across 11 provinces.
- Storm warnings target the City of Buenos Aires and parts of northeast Buenos Aires, southeast Santa Fe and south Entre Ríos with brief heavy rain of 20–50 mm, intense gusts, localized hail and frequent lightning.
- Snow alerts cover west Mendoza and southwest Santa Cruz where accumulations of 15–30 cm and very strong westerly gusts may reduce visibility and hinder mountain travel.
- Yellow wind alerts include Córdoba, San Luis, La Pampa, eastern Mendoza, San Juan and western La Rioja with cordillera winds typically 40–65 km/h and gusts up to about 110 km/h in exposed areas.
- Local agencies have warned of fog-reduced visibility in Santa Fe, implemented a new traffic scheme at the Puente Carretero, scheduled EPE maintenance power interruptions and advised avoiding nonessential travel as conditions clear and a pronounced cold spell follows the front.
