Overview

• The SMN placed the southeast of La Pampa and the northeast of Río Negro under orange alerts, with yellow advisories extending to sectors of Buenos Aires, Mendoza, San Luis, Entre Ríos, Santa Fe, Corrientes, Santiago del Estero, Chaco, Formosa and Salta.
• Storms may deliver 30–60 mm in short periods with frequent lightning, strong gusts and isolated hail, and authorities urged precautionary measures for flooding and falling debris.
• In the Buenos Aires metropolitan area, the forecast calls for a humid, temperate day with isolated morning showers, partial clearing later and highs near 23°C.
• Mendoza faces Zonda winds for a second day, with 30–50 km/h flow and possible 70 km/h gusts in the southeast during the afternoon and night.
• Catamarca’s Valle Central could peak near 39°C before a brief cool pulse this weekend drops expected Spring Day highs toward about 24°C.
