Smite 2 Announced: Sequel to Popular MOBA Game to Feature Enhanced Gameplay and Rewards for Existing Players

Built in Unreal Engine 5, Smite 2 will introduce new gameplay changes, reward existing players through the Divine Legacy program, and continue to support the original Smite game alongside its launch.

  • Smite 2, the sequel to the popular action MOBA game Smite, has been announced by developer Titan Forge Games and publisher Hi-Rez Studios. The game will be built from the ground up in Unreal Engine 5 and will feature a diverse roster of Gods from various mythological pantheons.
  • Smite 2 will introduce new gameplay changes, including revamped Relic and Item systems for deeper strategy, and new dynamic map objectives. The game will also feature new abilities for specific characters, a revamped backend and matchmaking system, and an upgraded user interface.
  • Existing players of Smite will be rewarded in Smite 2 through the Divine Legacy program, which will convert gems spent in the original game into Legacy Gems that can be used for purchases in the sequel. The program will also offer unique skins, badges, Gold Mastery levels, and cross-generation skins that work across both games.
  • Smite 2 will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, and SteamDeck. The game is currently in its pre-alpha development stage, with an alpha playtest set to commence in Spring 2024.
  • The original Smite game will continue to be supported alongside the launch of Smite 2, with servers remaining active and regular updates planned for both games.
