Band Seeks Replacement for Departed Jeff Schroeder Ahead of Upcoming Tours

Smashing Pumpkins, the long-running alternative rock band, has announced an open call for a new guitarist, following the amicable departure of guitarist Jeff Schroeder in October.
The band has opened the application process to guitarists everywhere, asking for resumes and related materials to be sent to their management company's email.
Jeff Schroeder, who had been with the band for 15 years, left to explore a different path, leaving the band with founding members Billy Corgan, James Iha, and Jimmy Chamberlain.
The new guitarist would be performing alongside frontman Billy Corgan and would join the band for their upcoming tours, including a European tour with Weezer and a US stadium tour supporting Green Day.
The band has undergone numerous lineup changes since its founding in 1988, with Corgan being the only consistent member.
