Overview
- NS reported a small fire at the rear of a commuter train from Almere Centrum to Amsterdam Centraal, which was extinguished with no injuries.
- The alert came around 15:00, and firefighters said the flames were out by the time they reached the train.
- The train stopped near Weesp and later returned to Almere, where passengers disembarked according to subsequent reports.
- Train services were suspended between Amsterdam Centraal and Almere as well as toward Bussum during the incident.
- ProRail projected disruption until about 16:45, and traffic on the Almere–Amsterdam corridor resumed around that time.
