Overview
- The aircraft came down just before 6:15 p.m. near Wolfensberger Road and Prairie Hawk Drive in Castle Rock, temporarily closing a stretch of Prairie Hawk Drive.
- Castle Rock Fire Chief Norris Croom said the plane had three passengers, departed Centennial Airport, and could not return after the pilot reported losing power.
- The plane touched down on the roadway and struck the back of a car, causing damage but no injuries to the two occupants, who were able to drive away.
- No injuries were reported at the scene and no additional hazards were identified as the aircraft was towed away and the roadway reopened around 8:30 p.m.
- The FAA and NTSB have been notified and are expected to investigate the circumstances of the crash.
