SM Sets EXO Year-End Events Without Chen, Baekhyun and Xiumin as Agencies Clash Over Terms

SM says the trio must honor a 2023 revenue-sharing deal before rejoining, citing recent legal wins that upheld its position.

Overview

  • INB100 said CBX accepted all of SM’s conditions after an Oct. 2 mediation and cleared their December schedules to join full-group activities.
  • SM responded that settling disputes and group participation are separate, asserting the trio has not paid the 10% share of individual-activity revenue required by the June 18, 2023 agreement.
  • SM said the trio filed an appeal on Oct. 16, disputing INB100’s claim of full acceptance, and emphasized the need for trust restoration before any return to group promotions.
  • EXO will hold a fan meeting Dec. 13–14 at Incheon Inspire Arena and release an eighth full album in early 2026 with six members, excluding CBX for now.
  • Courts, prosecutors, the KFTC and the MCST found no actionable wrongdoing by SM, with CBX losing multiple challenges and broad document requests being curtailed.
