Slipknot Announces 59-Track 25th-Anniversary Deluxe Reissue of Debut Album

Arriving September 5 in digital, CD, vinyl formats, the expanded release offers demos, alternate mixes, live recordings

Overview

  • Slipknot has set Sept. 5 as the release date for Slipknot (25th Anniversary Edition) on digital, 2xLP and 2xCD formats while expanded vinyl editions follow on Sept. 25.
  • The 6xLP deluxe box set compiles 59 tracks including the original 1999 album alongside Indigo Ranch rough mixes, previously unheard demos and live recordings from the band’s first world tour.
  • Limited vinyl variants feature blood-splattered 6LP box sets capped at 1,899 copies, a secret 100-unit blood-filled pressing, a red/black 2LP and an exclusive orange 2LP via Knotfest.
  • An early demo of “Prosthetics” has been released to promote pre-orders by revealing a raw take on one of the album’s darkest cuts.
  • The anniversary package also includes new artwork, rare personal photos and nine collector photo cards along with alternate mixes by Jay Baumgardner and Ulrich Wild.
