Slack Introduces Native GIF Picker to Enhance Messaging Experience

Overview

• Slack has launched a native GIF picker, making it easier for users to find and share GIFs without leaving the app.
• The update is powered by Tenor, a Google-owned GIF search engine, offering millions of GIF options.
• Previously, users had to rely on the '/giphy' command or third-party sites, a process that was often cumbersome and unreliable.
• Slack promises that all users will have access to the new GIF picker by the end of the month.
• The introduction of the GIF picker is expected to enhance the messaging experience and could potentially impact the use of the '/giphy' method.
