Overview

  • The skydiving flight, operated with a de Havilland Canada DHC-6 Twin Otter, clipped trees shortly after departing Tullahoma Regional Airport and came down near Old Shelbyville Road.
  • All 20 people aboard survived the crash, though several passengers sustained injuries.
  • Three injured occupants were airlifted to nearby hospitals and a fourth was transported by ground ambulance for further treatment.
  • First responders including Coffee County EMS, Tennessee Highway Patrol and Tullahoma Police Department secured the scene and provided on-site medical assistance.
  • The Federal Aviation Administration has opened a probe and the National Transportation Safety Board will take over to determine the cause of the accident.
