Skydiver Accidentally Lands in Dutch Zoo's Bonobo Enclosure

The parachutist was blown off course by wind and narrowly avoided landing in more dangerous animal habitats.

A skydiver in the Netherlands intended to land on a football field during an event but ended up in the bonobo enclosure of Ouwehands Zoo in Rhenen.
The bonobos were indoors at the time of the incident, preventing any interaction with the animals.
Zoo director Robin de Lange noted that the situation could have been far worse if the skydiver had landed in enclosures with more dangerous animals, such as lions or elephants.
The mishap was attributed to wind conditions and poor visibility caused by a fog bank during the parachute descent.
The skydiver and his wife, who also landed off course in a nearby forest, were unharmed, though emergency protocols were activated to ensure their safety.
