Skyborn Signs Preferred Supplier Deals for Gennaker’s Foundations, Cables and Installation

The agreements lock in contractors across the supply chain, positioning the 976.5 MW Baltic project to begin fabrication toward a 2028 commissioning.

Overview

  • EEW Special Pipe Construction will supply 63 monopiles manufactured in Rostock, approximately 40 kilometers from the site.
  • Dajin Heavy Industry will deliver 63 transition pieces fabricated in Penglai with final work carried out in Odense.
  • Seaway7 has been selected for transportation and installation of the monopiles and transition pieces.
  • A Boskalis–TKF consortium will supply and install about 140 kilometers of inter-array cables to be manufactured in Eemshaven, Netherlands.
  • Grid connection is led by 50Hertz with two substations awarded in 2022, while turbine supply is contracted with Siemens Gamesa and offshore installation is planned from 2028 by Fred. Olsen Windcarrier’s Brave Tern.
