Sky Revives £35 TV-Broadband Deal as Virgin Overhauls Bundles With Netflix

Both moves sharpen a price fight built on bundled streaming with long contracts that can later lift monthly bills.

Overview

  • Sky’s reintroduced Essential TV + 300Mbps bundle costs £35 a month on a 24‑month term for new customers and includes Sky Stream, Netflix and Discovery+.
  • For £4 more per month, Sky’s Ultimate TV upgrade adds extra channels such as Sky Max and Sky Documentaries on the same 300Mbps broadband tier.
  • Virgin Media has refreshed its line-up with packages starting at £30.99 on a 30‑day rolling option, plus a £36.99 Entertainment bundle offering 200+ channels, select Sky channels, 362Mbps broadband and Netflix included.
  • Virgin says bills will rise by £4 annually from April 2026, with the £36.99 plan increasing to £40.99 in 2026 and £44.99 in 2027.
  • Reviewers note Sky’s optional add-ons like 4K, Sky Cinema, Sky Sports and ad‑skip can push monthly costs well above the entry price, while Virgin’s higher tiers reach up to 1,130Mbps and can include an O2 SIM and limited Amazon Prime or Disney+ extras.
