Overview
- Air Europa is now selling SKY-operated services between Lima and Santiago and to five Peruvian destinations: Cusco, Arequipa, Iquitos, Trujillo and Tarapoto.
- The codeshare began operating on March 1, 2026, advancing a prior interline arrangement between the carriers.
- SKY says this is its first codeshare since shifting to a low-cost model, a move preceded by Air Europa’s operational audit of the airline.
- Both airlines signal plans to expand the arrangement to additional South American routes, including services via Santiago, Salvador de Bahía, São Paulo, Montevideo and Buenos Aires, subject to regulatory approvals.
- SKY is increasing Peru capacity, including more flights to Cusco driven by European tourist demand, while pursuing more than 20 international partnership agreements and navigating a proposed Abra Group equity conversion under Chilean review.
