Skoda Kodiaq Lounge Launched In India As 5-Seater At ₹39.99 Lakh

Lower taxes under GST 2.0 enabled a more affordable entry point that keeps the Kodiaq’s powertrain and safety fundamentals intact.

Overview

  • The refreshed price ladder now spans ₹39.99–₹45.96 lakh, with the Lounge undercutting the Sportline by ₹3.77 lakh and the L&K by ₹5.97 lakh (ex-showroom).
  • Switching to a two-row layout raises cargo capacity to 786 litres from 281 litres in the seven-seat versions.
  • Mechanicals are unchanged: a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol (204 hp, 320 Nm) pairs with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic and all-wheel drive, with an ARAI-rated 14.86 km/l.
  • Key equipment retained includes a panoramic sunroof, 10.25-inch digital cluster, 10.4-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, three-zone climate control, and nine airbags with ESC and related aids.
  • Cost cuts remove features such as the 360-degree camera, driver drowsiness detection, gesture tailgate and Canton audio, while unique touches add 18-inch Mazeno alloys, dark chrome accents and three colour choices (Moon White, Magic Black, Graphite Grey).
