Sixth Bulgarian Charged in UK for Alleged Russian Espionage

Tihomir Ivanov Ivanchev, a 38-year-old Bulgarian national, faces charges in a London court as part of a wider investigation into a Russian spy network operating in the UK.

Tihomir Ivanov Ivanchev, 38, has been charged with conspiring to collect information potentially harmful to UK's safety and interests.
Ivanchev's arrest follows the detention of five other Bulgarians last year, accused of spying for Russia.
The group allegedly conspired with Jan Marsalek, a fugitive involved in the Wirecard scandal, and others unknown.
Three of the accused were previously arrested for possessing false identification documents from multiple countries.
Their trial is scheduled for October and is expected to last four months.
