Six-Year-Old Killed and Three Injured in NSW Far South Coast Collision

Crash investigators continue probing the fatal collision between a ute and a truck on Towamba Road as survivors receive medical care.

  • A six-year-old boy was pronounced dead at the scene of a collision between a dual-cab ute and a truck near Nullica, 10km southwest of Eden, NSW.
  • The ute's driver, a man in his 30s, and two girls aged three and eight sustained injuries and were transported to hospitals for treatment.
  • The younger girl was airlifted to Randwick Children's Hospital and the man to a Canberra hospital, both via Merimbula Airport, while the older girl was taken by road to South-East Regional Hospital in Bega.
  • The truck driver, believed to be in his 50s, was taken to Bega hospital for mandatory testing and treatment for shock.
  • The Southern Region Crash Investigation Unit is leading the ongoing investigation, and a section of Towamba Road remains closed near the Princes Highway.
