Six-Year-Old Boy Mauled to Death by Dogs in Portland

Owner attempted to intervene, dogs euthanized and investigation ongoing.

A six-year-old boy was mauled to death by two Great Dane-Mastiff mixes in Portland, Oregon.
The boy was dropped off at the home of the dogs' owner, Koko Miller, by his grandmother to be taken to school.
Miller tried to stop the attack and was covered in blood when authorities arrived.
The two dogs involved in the attack have been euthanized, and a third dog present at the time is being held pending investigation.
The investigation is being led by the Portland Police Bureau’s Child Abuse team with assistance from the Homicide unit.
