Overview

• A jury at Hove Crown Court found the grandfather, father, mother, two brothers and an uncle guilty after more than 20 hours of deliberation.
• The father was convicted of five counts of rape of a child under 13 among other sexual offences and cruelty, and both brothers were each convicted of four counts of rape of a child under 13 with additional offences.
• The grandfather was convicted of sexual assault by penetration and other sexual assaults of a child under 13.

• The investigation began after the elder daughter told school staff she was afraid to go home, leading to arrests in January 2025; the victims are in foster care with specialist support, and police have urged against online speculation to protect anonymity.
