Six Teens Charged in Series of Unprovoked Center City Assaults

The teenagers, aged 13 to 15, attacked four individuals within an hour and turned themselves in after police released surveillance footage.

Six teenagers, all students at Germantown’s Anthony Wayne Academy, face charges including aggravated assault, simple assault, reckless endangerment, and conspiracy.
The attacks occurred on the afternoon of November 19 across multiple locations in Center City, Philadelphia, leaving four victims with injuries ranging from bruises to a concussion.
The spree began with an assault on a homeless man, followed by attacks on a 24-year-old woman, a 31-year-old man, and a 40-year-old woman, all within approximately an hour.
Surveillance footage released by police led to the teens turning themselves in, accompanied by their parents, on November 21 and 22.
Investigators have not identified a motive for the seemingly random attacks, noting that none of the teens had prior arrests.
