Overview

• The pursuit began just after 12:30 am when a stolen hatchback failed to stop for officers on Erskineville Road and sped south toward Mascot
• The vehicle collided with a pole on Botany Road, bringing the high-speed chase to an end
• All six occupants fled on foot but were located and arrested following a ground search supported by a police helicopter
• A 14-year-old boy was treated for abdominal pain at the scene and taken to Sydney Children’s Hospital in stable condition while the other five remain under police guard in hospital
• NSW Police have appealed for witnesses and dashcam footage to assist with ongoing forensic investigations into the incident
