The murder was part of a prolonged gang war between FBG Duck’s Tookville faction of the Black Gangster Disciples and the O Block Gangster Disciples.
Claims have arisen on social media that former First Lady Michelle Obama grew up in O Block, which was not named as such during her formative years.
O Block, renamed in honor of Odee Perry, a resident and gang member who was shot dead in 2011, is now considered one of the most dangerous localities in Chicago.
