- The driver, Flaviu Naghi, a 33-year-old man from Wigan, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, driving without a license, and driving without insurance.
- Naghi appeared in Swansea Magistrates' Court on January 4 and is scheduled to appear in Swansea Crown Court on February 7.
- He was also arrested on suspicion of drink and drug driving, for which he has been released on bail as the investigation continues.
