Six Killed in Muzaffarnagar SUV–Truck Crash as Separate Panchkula Mishaps Leave Two Dead, Dozens Hurt

  • In Panchkula, an overloaded Mahindra pick-up carrying devotees returning from Mansa Devi Temple overturned near the Old Panchkula light point, causing one death and about 30 injuries.
  • Police said the pick-up was not authorized to carry passengers; driver Jitender has been booked under BNS Sections 106, 125 and 281, and several critically injured were shifted to GMCH-32 and PGIMER Chandigarh with one reported arm amputation.
  • In a separate Panchkula incident near Sector 12A, 25-year-old Gurpreet Singh was fatally struck while walking to the temple, with the SUV seized, the driver arrested, and an FIR registered.
