Six IT Professionals Arrested in Chevella Farmhouse Drug Raid

Overview

  • Special Task Force teams of the Telangana Excise Department raided the Serene Orchards farmhouse in Medipally village based on specific intelligence and arrested six software employees attending a birthday party
  • Officers recovered 0.05 grams of LSD blots, 20.21 grams of hashish, five bottles of Ballantine’s scotch, six mobile phones and three high-end vehicles valued at over ₹50 lakh
  • All six detainees—identified as Abhijit Banerjee, Simpson, Parthu, Goyal, Yeswanth and Sevio Dennis—tested positive for narcotics and have been remanded under relevant sections of the NDPS Act
  • The farmhouse owner, Aziz, has been named in the FIR and remains at large while the property manager has also been booked for providing the venue
