Six in Ten Americans Oppose Trump’s "One Big Beautiful Bill"

  • The CNN-SSRS survey of 1,057 U.S. adults conducted July 10–13 finds 61% of respondents oppose the bill overall.
  • Federal analysts project the law will add roughly $3.3 trillion to federal deficits over the next decade.
  • Democrats oppose the bill by 93%, while 78% of Republicans express support and only about one-quarter of them do so strongly.
  • By a 29-point margin, Americans cite the permanent extension of 2017 tax cuts as a reason to back the legislation.
