• Leicestershire Police say six people required medical treatment after incidents on August 21 near Beveridge Lane, Bardon Hill.
• Officers received an initial report of a man being attacked by two dogs, then a later call that three more people had been bitten, with two further victims coming forward.
• Firearms officers were deployed and a police dog and handler attended before two loose dogs were located and secured.
• The animals were confirmed as Caucasian Shepherds and are now in kennels; none of the injuries are believed to be serious.
• A 17-year-old girl and a 47-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of being in charge of a dangerously out of control dog, the man also on two alleged Animal Welfare Act offences, and both were released under investigation.
