  • The collision occurred around 10:15 a.m. Tuesday on the 1100 block of South Michigan Avenue near East Roosevelt Road.
  • A private Medical Express Ambulance Service vehicle struck the rear of a CTA No. 3 bus, causing damage to both vehicles.
  • Six bus passengers suffered minor injuries and were transported to Rush University Medical Center, John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital and Northwestern Memorial Hospital.
  • There were no patients on board the ambulance at the time of impact, police said.
  • Officials have not yet identified the cause of the crash and the investigation remains ongoing.
