Overview

• The collision occurred just before 8:20 p.m. Thursday in the 0–100 block of East 79th Street in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood.
• Chicago police say a 23-year-old man driving eastbound in a white sedan struck a 71-year-old pedestrian who was crossing outside a crosswalk.
