Six Flags Magic Mountain to Retire Magic Flyer on Jan. 5 for Looney Tunes Land Overhaul

Six Flags has not disclosed the ride’s fate after closure.

Overview

  • Work will begin in January to reimagine Bugs Bunny World as Looney Tunes Land in a phased project tied to the park’s 55th anniversary.
  • The coaster opened in 1947 at Beverly Park as the Little Dipper, a venue connected to Walt Disney’s early Disneyland planning.
  • Operating at Magic Mountain since 1971, the ride has used names including Clown Coaster, Wile E. Coyote Coaster, Goliath Jr., and Percy’s Railway.
  • According to RCDB, the steel kiddie coaster stands about 10 feet tall, runs roughly 350 feet of track near 10 mph, and uses a single 12‑rider train.
  • Speedy Gonzales Hot Rod Racers is also slated for removal to make way for Looney Tunes Land, with its closure date still unannounced.
