Overview

  • Six Flags Great America announced on Aug. 11 that Raging Bull will cease operations after Aug. 18 for a full repaint with no reopening date confirmed.
  • The fan-favorite coaster has operated since 1999 and undergoes periodic major overhauls to maintain its appearance and structural integrity.
  • All guests aged 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult aged 21 or older after 5 p.m. under the park’s reinstated chaperone policy.
  • The chaperone requirement was reinstated in July following a shooting in the park’s parking lot that caused no injuries.
  • In place of Raging Bull, visitors can ride the new Wrath of Rakshasa dive coaster, which features a 171-foot, 96-degree drop, five inversions and speeds up to 67 mph.
