Six Flags and Cedar Fair Merge, Forming Amusement Park Giant

The merger, effective July 1, creates a dominant entity with 42 parks and a new leadership team.

Richard Zimmerman of Cedar Fair will lead the new company as CEO.
Selim Bassoul transitions to Executive Chairman of the Board.
The combined entity will operate under the Six Flags name but trade under Cedar Fair's ticker symbol, FUN.
Headquarters will be in Charlotte, North Carolina, with key operations in Sandusky, Ohio.
Shareholders of Six Flags to receive a one-time dividend of $1.53 per share.
