France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Singapore, and Spain now have the world's most powerful passports, with visa-free access to 194 destinations.

Six countries now share the top spot in the Henley Passport Index 2024, with their citizens able to visit 194 destinations around the world without a visa. These countries are France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Singapore, and Spain.
The United Arab Emirates has seen the biggest climb on the index over the past decade, adding 106 destinations to its visa-free score since 2014, and earning it 11th position this year.
India's passport ranks 80th globally, allowing Indians to travel visa-free to 62 countries.
The UK now ranks joint fourth (access to 191 destinations), while the US retained joint seventh place (188 destinations). A decade ago, the two countries shared the top spot.
Afghanistan sits at the bottom of the ranking with access to just 28 countries without a visa.
