Local villagers swiftly rescued eight individuals immediately after the accident, which occurred when the boat lost balance and overturned.
Rescue efforts, involving 15 SDRF and NDRF personnel, are ongoing in the dam's catchment area to locate the remaining missing person.
Government officials, including Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and CM Mohan Yadav, expressed condolences and announced financial assistance of ₹2 lakh for the families of the deceased.
