Six Autonomous Cars to Race Head-to-Head for $2.25 Million at A2RL Grand Final

The Abu Dhabi showcase spotlights rapid gains and strategy-coded “driving personalities” as organisers report full grandstand and global broadcast coverage.

Overview

  • The Season 2 Grand Final at Yas Marina on 15 November will stage the first wheel-to-wheel contest with six fully autonomous cars in a 20-lap race for a $2.25 million purse.
  • Finalists are TUM, Unimore, Kinetiz, TII Racing, PoliMOVE and Constructor, selected after a multi-car qualification phase that set new pace benchmarks.
  • A Silver Race will feature RAPSON, Code 19, Fly Eagle, FR4IAV and TGM Grand Prix, giving the remaining teams a competitive outing with the upgraded EAV-25 platform.
  • A Human vs AI exhibition will pit Daniil Kvyat against reigning champions TUM, following testing in which Unimore surpassed a human benchmark lap time.
  • Global coverage is set for 3pm GST on Abu Dhabi Media Network, StarzPlay, Motorsport TV and A2RL’s YouTube, with a packed Fan Zone, Supercar Parade, STEM student competition and a live VR viewing platform.
