Overview

• The Special Investigation Team has finished digging at 10 of the 13 burial sites identified by the whistleblower.
• Partial skeletal remains were uncovered at Site 6, Site 11 and a nearby unmarked spot in the Banglegudde area following adjustments to the excavation sequence.
• About 100 bone fragments and associated material, including a saree, are under forensic examination to establish age, gender and possible cause of death.
• A new case alleging that a police officer secretly buried a 15-year-old girl without registering a case has been formally added to the SIT’s mandate.
• Work continues at the three remaining flagged sites under strict judicial and forensic protocols, guided by the whistleblower’s testimony.
