• Jennifer Abbott Dauward, 69, was found dead in her Mornington Place flat on June 13 when her niece grew concerned and forced entry.
• Prosecutors told jurors that Abbott suffered eight stab wounds to her neck and upper back and was discovered with black tape over her mouth and a blanket partly covering her body.
