SinuCleanse Nasal Wash Recalled Nationwide Over Bacterial Contamination Risk

The recall affects a single lot of the product after tests detected Staphylococcus aureus, a bacteria that can cause severe infections.

Ascent Consumer Products Inc. has voluntarily recalled its SinuCleanse Soft Tip Squeeze Bottle Nasal Wash System due to contamination with Staphylococcus aureus bacteria.
The affected product, distributed in January 2025, has the lot number 024122661A1 and an expiration date of December 31, 2027.
Staphylococcus aureus can cause serious infections, including blood infections, endocarditis, and bacterial sinusitis, which may lead to complications like meningitis or vision problems.
No adverse events have been reported so far, but consumers are advised to stop using the product immediately and return or discard it.
Distributors and retailers have been instructed to cease sales and remove the affected lot from their inventories.
