Singapore Tourist Dies After Falling from Cliff at New York State Park

Nur Aisyah Binte MD Akbar fell while taking photos with her husband on the Beacon Hill Trail, leading to a fatal 70-foot fall.

Nur Aisyah Binte MD Akbar, a 39-year-old tourist from Singapore, fell approximately 70 feet off a cliff at Minnewaska State Park in New York while taking photos with her husband, Abdul Rauf Bin Mohd Said.
The incident occurred on the Beacon Hill Trail, where the couple had stopped to take pictures at the edge of the cliff.
Akbar's husband called 911 after the fall, and she was hoisted to safety by a state police helicopter.
She was transported to Ellenville Regional Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.
The incident is still under investigation by the New York State Police.
