Singapore Tourism Recovers Strongly in 2023

Singapore saw a 115% increase in the number of visitors in 2023, from 6.3 million in 2022 to 13.6 million, meeting the Singapore Tourism Board's (STB) forecast.
The increase in visitor arrivals was driven by strong demand from Indonesia, China, and Malaysia.
Tourism receipts for 2023 are expected to register between S$24.5 billion (US$18.2 billion) to S$26 billion, exceeding STB’s forecast.
Visitors spent more time in Singapore compared to before the pandemic, with the average length of stay in 2023 being approximately 3.8 days.
STB expects the tourism sector’s recovery to continue in 2024, driven by improved global flight connectivity and the implementation of the mutual 30-day visa-free travel between China and Singapore.
