Singapore to Reallocate Six Golf Course Sites for Housing and Public Use

Leases on six courses are set to lapse between 2026 and 2035, freeing land for an outdoor learning centre, housing, public sports facilities, airport-linked projects

Overview

  • Ministry of Law confirmed that Mandai Executive will close in 2026, four private courses will end in 2030 and Tanah Merah Garden in 2035 with no lease renewals
  • Mandai Executive’s site will be handed to the Ministry of Education for a new Outdoor Adventure Learning Centre
  • Warren Golf & Country Club and Orchid Country Club sites have been zoned for residential development under URA’s Draft Master Plan 2025
  • SICC’s Bukit course and Keppel Club’s Sime course will become an 18-hole public golf course and an NTUC Club facility after their leases expire
  • NSRCC’s Kranji course and Sentosa Serapong received lease extensions to 2040, and a second Centre of Excellence will support national and youth golf training
