Overview
- Three purple five- and eight-seater shuttles begin mapping and familiarisation runs in Punggol next week with safety operators on board.
- Grab will run two routes using WeRide vehicles, while ComfortDelGro will operate one route with Pony.ai vehicles, marking Pony.ai’s entry into Singapore and Southeast Asia.
- The first route, operated by Grab, is planned to link Matilda Court and Punggol Clover to Oasis Terraces via Punggol Plaza on weekdays from 9:30am to 5pm without pre-booking.
- ComfortDelGro’s service will require bookings via the Zig app when it starts, and LTA says fares for the shuttles will be announced closer to launch.
- Authorities target about 10 autonomous vehicles by end-2025 and 100–150 by end-2026, with LTA projecting up to 15-minute cuts in public-transport travel times as the services complement existing buses.
