Singapore Sets Up 17-Member Committee to Guide AV Roll-Out

Four workgroups will shape near-term deployment, legal frameworks, technology protocols, workforce readiness for Singapore’s growing driverless shuttle pilots.

  • Four workgroups have been set up to plan near-term deployments, develop regulatory and liability frameworks, support workforce transitions and oversee technology and safety standards.
  • Ongoing pilot services include Grab’s One-North shuttle, WeRide’s unmanned bus at Sentosa and Moovita’s three safety-operator buses across fixed routes.
  • The first fixed-route AV shuttle service in Punggol remains on schedule for launch in Q4 2025 with onboard safety officers during its initial phase.
