Singapore Sets May 10 SG Alert Test for Singtel Mobile Users

The system delivers urgent warnings to phones even on silent.

Overview

  • SCDF will run an islandwide public test for Singtel customers at 12pm on Sunday, May 10.
  • Phones on Singtel, including MVNO brands like Gomo, VIVIFI, Zero1 and ZYM Mobile and visitors on data-only eSIMs, will receive the alert without internet access and without any app or sign-up.
  • The notice appears as an SG Alert pop-up with a distinct tone and vibration for up to 10 seconds that overrides Do Not Disturb and silent modes.
  • Supported phones require iOS 26.4 or Android 12 with the Feb 1, 2026 Google Play update, and some older models may instead show “Presidential alert.”
  • Wider rollout reaches StarHub by end-2026, then M1 and SIMBA by mid-2027, so full population coverage will grow in phases.
