- The Singapore Film Commission’s advisory committee named the surveillance thriller the country’s entry for the 98th Academy Awards’ Best International Feature category.
- Written and directed by Yeo Siew Hua, the 2024 film is his second Oscars submission after A Land Imagined, which previously represented Singapore.
- It world-premiered in Venice’s main competition at the 81st festival, the first Singaporean film to earn that slot.
- The project is a Singapore–Taiwan–France–U.S. co-production with Akanga Film Asia, Volos Films, Films de Force Majeure and Cinema Inutile, supported by IMDA and the SFC’s Media Talent Progression programme.
- Following Venice, it opened the Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival and the Singapore International Film Festival, with Playtime handling global sales and Film Movement releasing in the U.S., and it has screened in more than 10 territories.
