Singapore Opens SWDA Centre and Rolls Out 200+ AI Courses with Free Tool Subscriptions

A unified service model pairs a large curated AI curriculum with six-month access to premium tools to help workers reskill and guide employers through workforce change.

Overview

  • The Skills and Workforce Development Agency (SWDA) formally launched an in‑person careers and skills centre called Connect by SWDA at the Lifelong Learning Institute on Wednesday, signalling the operational start of its integrated service model.
  • SWDA published a curated catalogue of more than 200 AI courses from around 30 supported providers that range from basic productivity uses to advanced AI capabilities for new roles.
  • Eligible Singapore citizens aged 18 and above who attend any curated AI course can claim a six‑month complimentary subscription to selected premium AI tools, including ChatGPT Plus, Google AI Pro, Microsoft 365 Personal, Manus AI and the Singtel AI Pass.
  • The agency also activated a new employer portal, OurWorkforce, which replaces SkillsFuture for Business and offers digital tools and tailored recommendations to help firms plan job redesign, combine enterprise grants with workforce grants, and adopt AI responsibly.
  • SWDA was created earlier in 2026 by merging SkillsFuture Singapore and Workforce Singapore and frames these launches as first‑phase steps in a three‑year SkillsFuture AI Subscription programme with ongoing reviews and partner collaboration to keep training relevant.
