Singapore Night Festival Opens Friday With ‘Island Nights’ Across Bras BasahBugis

The first edition under HeritageSG frames Singapore’s island identity through light, sculpture and projection.

  • Running Aug 22 to Sept 6, the festival presents more than 80 experiences throughout the Bras BasahBugis precinct.
  • Kampong Chill by Yok & Sheryo at Capitol Theatre invites visitors to slow down in a bamboo-built ‘village’ focused on rest.
  • Sky Castle at Cathay Green features interactive inflatable arches with sound and color, with entry priced at S$5 via Klook.
  • Projection mapping returns at the National Museum with Mosaic by Jérémie Bellot marking 60 years of SingaporeFrance ties, and at CHIJMES with works by four local women artists.
  • New precinct highlights include CYBERSWORDFISH V2.0 at Plaza Singapura, Jiwa Laut luminous crab sculptures on Armenian Street, and festival villages at SMU, Armenian Street and Bugis Street.
