Singapore International Film Festival 2024 Concludes with Record Box Office and Acclaimed Winners

'Mongrel,' directed by Chiang Wei Liang and Yin You Qiao, won Best Asian Feature Film for its portrayal of migrant workers in Taiwan, adding to its accolades from Cannes and Golden Horse.
Lou Ye’s 'An Unfinished Film,' a COVID-era docufiction, received the Audience Choice Award in its newly revised format.
The festival showcased 105 films from 45 countries, with 80% of the lineup representing Asia, and reported its highest-ever box office earnings with a 10% increase in ticket sales from 2023.
Thai director Thaweechok Phasom's 'Spirits of the Black Leaves' won Best Southeast Asian Short Film, while Singaporean animator Calleen Koh's 'My Wonderful Life' was named Best Singapore Short Film.
Encore screenings of award-winning films, including 'Mongrel' and 'My Wonderful Life,' are scheduled for December 14 in Singapore.
