- Prime Minister Lawrence Wong and President Donald Trump spoke by phone on Jan 2 and reaffirmed the long-standing, multi-domain Singapore–US partnership.
- Singapore thanked the United States for inviting it to the December 2026 G20 Summit in Miami and said it looks forward to contributing to the US agenda for growth and stability.
- Wong said he plans to visit the United States later in 2026 to mark the 60th anniversary and to deepen cooperation in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and civilian nuclear power.
- Both sides indicated intent to deepen established economic, defence, security and people‑to‑people ties while expanding into frontier areas that include climate, space and critical and emerging technologies.
